K27 turbo intake rubber/silicone tube

I'm trying to install this K27 and I a unbelievably frustrated. The original tube that makes the connection from the metal pipe to the turbo intake is old and cracking.. so I needed to replace it.. I purchase what I thought was the equivalent silicone turbo hose (2 3/4") but the thing just doesn't fit onto the turbo. I measured the turbo, and sure enough it's 3", enough so that the hose doesn't stretch AT ALL.

Add MANY colorful adjectives where you can up above because I deleted them time after time thinking I can't type that here!!

So now tomorrow is good Friday and I won't be able to get another hose. That being said, should I get a 2 3/4" to 3" transition hose, or should I just get a straight 3" hose and clamp it down. I ask because this is the intake, and non pressurized.

Just get a 3" to 2 3/4" silicone reducer. Thats the simplest solution I'd say.

The OEM turbo has a 2 3/4" OD on the compressor/cold side. If you have gone with a K27 with an "S" cover, then yes, it'd be 3.0" OD. You'd need a reducer to interface the new compressor to your existing intake pipe.

I understand how you feel... little things like this can really put a damper on upgrades
