930 uprgades

Need your help Guy's, I got the green light from the Warden to allow a few dollars to be spent on some upgrades for my 1987 stock 930. I would like to get +/- 400 HP after it's all said and done. In the most general terms what do I need to get to make this happen on my car. Your opinion please, I guess I will do the "bolt-on" swap items first and then move on to the inside if you think it's required although I've read in here somewhere that I should be able to get 400HP without going into the heads, pistons, FI, etc. Thanks to all.

Aftermarket headers, free-flowing muffler, K27HF-S, aftermarket intercooler, 1.0bar boost spring & some form of fuel enrichment.

400HP at the crank right?
You'll need to go into the engine to get 400HP to the wheels.

I think you'd be very happy (for now :D) with Merv's suggestions. I'd go with Imagine Auto's fuel head mod for the additional fuel requirements.

You likely don't need the fuel head mod unless your going into the engine to get >400RWHP. Do the bolt-ons, check your A/F ratios then decide what comes next.

If you go with a Highflow S turbo I would NOT put a 1 B spring in. I was getting way too much boost.

I would first define what you want to spend and then go from there.

A K27-7200 will flow upwards of 400+HP I believe, so it would be a better match for your application and spool very nicely too.

Thank you all very much. I sincerely appreciate all the good info and "How to's" provided. I'm off to the parts store to start the gathering..... may/will need more advice as I get into it. Again, thank you for your time.
