Instant lean...
Well, took the car to the track this weekend....must say the Turbo is a whole new racing experience.
2nd to last heat I made a fuel stop and got in line in the paddock, car started to die....AFR guage dropped to max lean condition for no apparent reason and cylinder head temps jumped to 500..... Limped home and will look at it this evening. What do you think?? Vacuum leak, timing issue??? Gotta be something simple to have changed so quickly.... TIA, Brodie |
Ben (MB911) had a hose melt, which bled pressure to his blow off valve or something. His results were disastrous.
Proceed with caution. Doug |
I started it from cold and it ran perfectly, with a normal A/F reading (slightly rich) until the cold start valve kicked off...then back into the low red zone.... BTW, could you direct me to the A/F adjustment screw...doesn't seem to be in the same place as my older CIS system... I also don't see a convenient test port for my uel pressure guage.... |
Yeh sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Check all your hoses in/around the intake.

Yepper...line from BOV to intake was totally ripped...didn't see it till I had everthing off....
Still could use info on location of A/F screw and best port for fuel pressure testing... Thanks all.... |
