nOOb question...

Ya know, after years of Porsche ownership it pains me to have to ask questions about my 'new to me' turbo...

Anyway, can I start my car with the intercooler removed?????

TIA

Nope... CIS doesn't run with that large a vacuum leak.. unmetered air in the system of that magnitude is a no go.

Serious? I can remove the i/cooler off my turbo'd Carrera motor and it will start and idle just fine.

Mine doesn't at all. Just turns over and over.

Well...my manual hasn't arrived yet, so....one more question...

My wastegate has two vacuum lines. Only one (the bottom) is connected. Should the top line be connected somewhere or capped off???

TIA Brodie

It should vent to atmosphere trough a small piece of tubing. Tube is only there to prevent dirt creeping inside.
