fifth gear LM1 log
I haven't downloaded the lm1 lately, and I recorded this run on sunday in fifth gear on the freeway.
I realized while it was happening that I should have used fourth, as I have in the past. Also I forgot how "off" the tach is in the car, at the end of the run i was past 5000 + on the gauge, but looking at it today I was at 4600, then I remembered how far off it was at redline. LONG ways This is even true for another car that's been run many times. I mean the needle needs to be buried to even come close to 6500. I've checked this many times, I get the same results everytime. I remember again that fifth gear gives you time to look at the boost gauge and fuel pressure. Both max out somewhere between 3 and 4k rpms at just under nine psi and just under 80 psi fuel press Fifth gear gives you time to look, fourth gear doesn't. The problem is fifth gear redline is way to fast, so you can log in fourth but can't look, and can log in fifth and look but can't get to redline without going to jail or hitting another car. no really, cars come up fast at 120 Berate me if you want, but there are far more corrupt things going on in Louisiana than me speeding. Don't worry, I'm safe ![]() Last edited by jbrinkley; 09-27-2007 at 06:31 AM.. |

I was gonna add, it's been a year now, and no problems, the only thing I've changed is the plugs to one number colder

Your graph lines are very smooth, did you use the "smoothing" function in the LogWorks software ?

That's still really smooth, mine tends to be a little more jagged.
As your probably aware, big lean spikes can be an indicator of miss-firing. How are you posting those logs ? Are you uploading the log file with the ".log" extension ?
