How to fix rear suspension squeaking noise?

I have a major squeaking noise coming from the right rear suspension. I believe it is the large rubber bushing. I noticed from the parts breakdown that there is a housing that bolts over the bushing. My question is can you spray silicon or graphic over the bushing to get rid of the noise? Is it difficult to remove the housing? Is there any impact to the suspension geometry that will require re alignment etc.?

thanks,
