I'm Looking For A Good Service Manual
What are some of the good ones out there? That will show how to work on an 930. Thanks

There is no complete 930 manual that I know of. You definitely want the Bentley 911 SC or Carrera (depending on your year) manual because a large portion will be relevant. Next try to get your hands on a 930 workshop manual. One book that has helped me with CIS tremendously is "Bosch Fuel Injection & Fuel Management" by Charles O. Probst. SAE, this is very good at explaining CIS. Finally, search this board and ask questions when you can't find answers.

I see a 930 Technical service manual for sale on Ebay right now...go do a search under Porsche 930 take a look at eBay item # 190111358608. I don't know if this is what you're looking for...but it looks like the factory technical manual for the turbo 930. Good luck.. Chuck

bentley is good.. I wound up buying two .. so i could get the CIS fuel injection stuff... The Bosche book is very good as well and got that one.. I got a CD off the net from someone for the 930....it is not as comprehensive as I would have liked as it didnt have all the updates...so if you have an older 930 it will work ... not so much for the later 86-89 models.....

NO....there is no Bentley manual specifically for the 930...portions of it you can use becasue a lot of the body parts for the 911 are interchangeable with the 930...but the engine and suspension are different...which is why I bought the two volume set of the 930 Porsche factory service manual. Because is was an original new-in-the-box set, I paid $300 for it...so if you can pick up a used one for under $100, you'd better snap it up. There are some folks who are xeroxing copies of these manuals, but I didn't want to deal with a copyrite issue, so I bought the original factory versions. There are also folks out there who are publishing 930 specific technical service manuals...like for the CIS system that someone already referred to. I just bought everything I could find on the subject, so I hve a pretty extensive library. Only wish I could understand all of it!!
