You can buy 1/8" spacers just be mindful of the thread count on your lug nuts.

The reason I suggested purchasing new 1/2" spacers is that you end up with something of value that can be used or sold, an extra set of spacers. Machining your existing spacers only adds cost to them AND you have nothing extra to use or sell.

Thread count won't be a problem. ground the tops off my factory nuts for the rears, and have an inch of stud still sticking thru.
I'll post pics when job is done.
