Oil tank
Can anyone advise what is involved to modify a standard 911 oil tank to take the scavenge pump return , from what I have seen on another post it seems the return goes through the side and up to the filter . If so why?
Thanks |

The oil in our cars is only filtered before it goes back into the oil tank, not before it enters the engine.
So, if you allow the oil from the turbo to go straight into the tank it will not have been filtered and any metal from the turbo can end up in the engine or back in the turbo.
