Air Pump Belt Removal?

Hey guys... I removed all the air pump stuff and now I'm a little confused how to get the belt off the lower pulley. I know I can just cut it but what if It needed to be changed, how would it been done?

There is a cover that needs to come off. You get to it from under the car. Then the belt will come off.

I just cut mine cause I didn't want to put any of that stuff back on.

I replied to your post on Rennlist after the 'expert' told you to remove the oil sump.

Here's the diagram from the PP website for the air pump - part #32 bolts to the cam box and the pulley is in it. The scavage pump, part#31 in this diagram bolts to the housing (Part #32). It needs to be removed first, which includes removing the 2 oil lines so you'll probably need new sealing rings for them if you pull it off.

There is no 'sump' as these 2 'experts' discussed, just a small pump that is spun by the cam and bolted to the front left of the motor, under the smog pump. It is all under the car, and you'll maybe need to unbolt/loosen some engine tin in the back to get it all off.

Thanks but it looks like I'll be cutting the belt when I get home
