Maxx - Just a heads-up; keep in mind that once you loose the 50 pounds on each end that you will likely need to re-lower and re-align the car.

Just 100 lbs makes that much difference huh?

That's ok, it is riding on the high side as is, so I'll have to plan all my weight reduction at once and then lower it.

That is what I said above, although I didn't make it entirely clear that I was talking about both bumpers combined.

Hey RarlyL8,
I noticed that you converted your rear bumper back to a stock look. If this is correct, could you tell me why?

Also, was that rear bumper the SKT one from BB and what did you think of the quailty, required prep work?

ps: hope you don't mind my user name over on RL; you know what they say, imitation is the highest form of flattery. Thanks / Tony

I converted my rear bumper back to stock due to my muffler business. All of my products are designed to be used with the stock bumper so I had to buy one to do all of the design work and fitment testing. I hope to go back to the F/G bumper by the end of summer, I really miss the look and light weight.

All of the fiberglass on my car came from BWMotorsports about 10 years ago. Fit really well with minimum prep work.

She's sitting right next to the car just waiting ...

I think this is what you are trying to do. RarlyL8, Im just like you. Glass bumpers only, and fiberglass doors as well. I dont track mine as much as some of the guys here, but I am very cognisant of my surroundings when driving. (I guess that means I drive it like a bike)

I'm in the process of doing the same. I removed the rear bumper last fall and test fit it with some modifications. I'll get the rear bumper back this coming week for the body shop and then have to test fit the front bumper. Its been sitting all winter in my basement

Rod, like the green but I gotta say I was a huge fan of the brown. The car had a unique look to it when brown.

Rarly,
Do you have a license plate light? If not, will the police give you problems in certain areas for improper display of tag?

I just wanted something that stood out a little more. The brown was good though, because the cops never notice you.

Bman

BMAN, (not to hi-jack, but this may help)

Where did you purchase your bumpers? Also, does the rear bumper have the indentations for the exhaust tips like a C2?

PS. The K27s & B6IC are working great. Thanks for the great products.

Thanks,
Bryan

Bryan,

Glad to hear they are working out great for you. The rear bumper doesn't have the cut outs and that's what I wanted. I run a fabspeed exhaust and will just put a 3" turn down tip painted black so it wont show to much anyway. It give the back end a nice clean look.

The rear bumper is made by Better bodies and the front is Getty design.

Les - I had to run a front plate when I lived In IL. Made a custom bracket that held the plate off the bumper. Mount was on the bottom parallel to the ground. It is hanging in my garage now, I can take a picture if you wish. Actually I have pictures of the car with the front tag on it I can post as well.
