Bummed...can't backdate a later model..

I have an '86 930 which I really enjoy and instead of purchasing a RS, RSR clone that I love the look of, I decided to backdate the look a bit. I really don't have the time to enjoy 2 toys at this time. Got some Lindseys and put on an IROC front bumper. Pulled the rockers this weekend and realized the the holes in the rear flares to access the torsion bars are not actually holes. They are half circles that start at the edge of the fender Any good ideas out there or I guess I am stuck with a partial backdate.

sure, weld/graft in that section from an earlier-style 930 flare. fix it right up.

torsion bar ends (the actual cap in the end of the springplate) will have to be popped out for torsion bar changes in the future.

make sense?

Not really interested in cutting and welding because the paint is original. Guess I will put the rockers back on. I was running it like that for a few months, but decided that I wanted more vintage look. I never really paid attention to others that had backdated. I guess most have earlier models.
