Injector Timing

For those of you with EFI, where do you have the injector timing set for each 1000 rpm? Initially, mine is set to 360 degrees BTDC then is advanced to 380 @ 3500rpm, 400 @ 4000rp, 420 @ 5500 up to redline.
Thx

Are you using sequential injection? Frankly, it only matters @ low revs. And there mainly for emission. At higher revs it doesn't matter.

Sequential.

It is my understanding that it is opposite of your comments. Shouldn't it be the higher the RPM, the more advanced the timing in order to burn cleaner for emissions?

It's also my under standing that it matters less at high rpm since the injectors are on more than they're off. My injector timing goes from 180 BTDC at 0 rpm to 320 BTDC at 10000 rpm. I don't know if this is the standard Motec setup or if my tuner set it up that way.

But your figures show that your Motec has more advance the faster the rpm. At the same time, I understand your point about being more on than off up top.

Geoffrey says this needs to be done on a dyno, so maybe I'll just leave it as it came from Link/Performance Developments (Neil Harvey) as it runs pretty well the way it is. I'm not sure what indicators to look for when adjusting, like "smoothness", improved torque, HP, etc.

Thx
