Question Back fires and stops

Can anyone help here I was driving down the road my car back fires a few times out the exhaust and stops and now will not start any ideas ?

First thing I think of under those circumstances is the CDI box....if you do a little research you'll find that those symptoms are pretty common when the CDI box takes a dump. When mine went, it started surging a bit...then backfired several times as I tried to start it, then nothing from then on. If it is the CDI box, you can either buy another Bosche...which is pricey, find a good used one....or go to the MSD 6AL....which is what I did. No more problems.
