1991 Turbo issues

I have just completed some modifications to my 1991 turbo. (holset turbo, larger intercooler, larger fuel lines, 964 camshafts, etc. ) The mechanic is having the same smoking problem at low rpm that I have read about in these forums. I have seen discussions of larger mechanical camshaft pumps, electric pumps, gravity drains, restricting incoming oil passage, etc. Does anyone have direct experience with this year of car and what will be the best solution?

People using Garret turbos install a 0.060" restrictor in the oil supply to it. Not sure if that may be your problem, but it could well be.
