Is This Where I Tap For My Boost Gauge?
I wanted to make sure this is where I tap before I cut anything. Do I tap the small hose I wrapped the plastic tube around? Thanks.

No... you need to look below that. You'll need to pull back the carpet and remove the plastic shield. The unit you are looking for is metal and mounted to the floor of the trunk. I don't have a picture but I am sure that if you search around for boost gauge install posts you'll find one.

Look from the the passenger side of the brake booster (large black round thing under your brake fluid reservoir) the vacuum line comes off the booster housing facing rearwards with a 90 degree elbow pointing down. The hose will connect to a line protruding from the sheet metal below the booster. The line is fat, about the size of your index finger.

Thanks Jim. I also found out I can tap into the hose near the gas pedal. This would be better if true.
