If you have standard 9s in the back, what size are your tires?

Mine look skinny compared to some other car pics here on the forum. I know the rims are 9s, so I may go up one size next time if possible. I think mine are P245-45-16s. Then again, different brands of the same size tires can look fatter or more aggressive depending on the tread.

WPOZZZ 08-08-2007 05:05 AM

I have 245/45/16s in the back. I don't know if there is any larger size.

245 45 16's

Noah930 08-08-2007 07:37 AM

+1 That's the stock size.

hobieboy 08-08-2007 07:51 AM

I think that's the widest you can get in 16", though I have seen 265/40 in some R-compound tires (V710/RA-1 I think).

Meatier is Better!!

Maxx1,

I agree,

The 45 series look too skinny.

I ran 50 series, which looked meatier and complimented the 225 50's up front.

Best of luck

Paul

I'm gonna guess that those are probably 17's or 18's.

equality72521 08-09-2007 04:05 AM

I run 245/50/16 in the rear (10") and 225/50/16 in the front (8").

They were Fuch or maybe Fuch clones in a 17 :o .... that would explain it.

50s would be a little taller as well. Do you like your gearing with those, or can you even notice it? They look good.

Mark Mcgarry 08-09-2007 06:32 AM

How about 315s ?

My speedo is off about 10mph after 50 but other than that, no problem

For more info, see the September issue of Excellence Magazine pg 108.

Maxx1,

Since your are running factory 9's in the rear...I would recommend you go with 245 50's. The will not make your tires look wider. they will be taller from the side view.

Best of luck again,

Paul

PAUL RODELO 08-09-2007 10:38 PM

How about a sound clip of that Ruf exhaust?

Hey Mark McGarry,

How bout you let us hear that Ruf Exhaust. I have not heard one of those in years. As I recall...that is a $3000 muffler.

Very nice....

Let us hear it...

Paul
