Pontiac is going to call it the G8. Think this belongs in OT.

Not as quick as my 930 from a 2nd gear roll at 80kmh. Ran up against one Saturday just gone. Neck and neck until high in 3rd. Nice car though. Gotta love our 930's

G'day Dewolf, just curious, is your car modded?
Alot of V8's where I am and quite a few want to try me on.
Went out to the local drag strip for 'Test & Tune' recently, anyone can try a quarter mile, the latest R8 Clubsport managed a best of 13.6, he may have been slightly downbeat, a modded (quite minor mods I'm told) Ford Territory did a 12.9...D'oh!

No mods as such, just exhaust and running 1.0bar. I'm sure if it was from a standing start I'd have been had. It was close, no doubt. I was'nt able to gain an edge until about 6000 in third, and even then I was only maybe 2mtrs ahead. It's still a win, lol.

Those Territory Ghia's come with the F6 Typhoon engine so a wee bit of a wolf in sheeps clothes.
The R8 ran all night and certainly looked like he was trying, the mid 13's seemed to be his lot.
Couple of modded Monaro's got into the low 12's.

Outta curiosity, how many guys on here have tried their 930's on the 1/4 mile?

Nathan, thats pretty impressive and encouraging, I spent that evening watching all kinds of V8's and turbo 6's both OZ and Jap and very few managed low 13's.
I'll be hoping my car will be in the 12's quite easily with the mods I've done.

You try'n explain to people just how fast these old girls are but I don't think people believe you, until they see figures like that for a stock car.
