Looks Great How does it sound? Ressonate like most dual outs? I am saving my pennies right now for one of those but, need one with a v-band flange.

Very Nice!!

We can put a V-band flange on it, M&K manufactures my mufflers so that shouldn't be a problem!
It does not resonate but it is loud. Not Harley loud or Zork loud, more like muscle car loud. It is also a cackle monster on decel and gives a nice turbo whistle all the time. The power sound is addictive.

Man! That looks nice. So I imagine the left side exits out the stock valence cut out? Modding the right side shouldn't be any prob. Can you PM me prices for both the polished and non polished?

Thanks Maxx,

I offer all of my stuff unfinished, satin finish, or full polish (full bling?) ha! You can find the pricing on my website; I'll also PM you in a bit when I can get on my office computer. (I'm on the kid's computer right now which is pretty much locked down).

Yes, the driver's side exit is stock and the passenger's must be cut. What I found with my valance was it is asemmetrical so I took the opportunity to trim some here and there to straighten it out. I'll post some pictures as well so you can get some ideas from what I did and maybe apply to your own.

Here are a couple of pictures of the tip exit sites.
Driver's side is stock, passenger's side cut to match driver's side (as best you can). The lower fenders behind the rear tires are not produced alike so it makes matching them up a bit difficult.

Brian,
I would like to hear a sound byte on these. I have a B&B set up with dual outs, will these be compatable? Also my Muffler is getting so hot it has discolored my bumper & has slight melting on the rubber bumperette. Would you have a heat shield suggestion?
Stuart

I don't have a sound byte because I have yet to hear one that actually sounds like being there. It's a difficult thing. I am open to suggestions.

The heat problem does not seem to be an absolute. I can see having a problem if you track the car. Mine got warm enough (when tracked) with the stock muffler to allow the spray on adhesive to give up holding the heat padding on the inside of my fiberglass bumper.
I have yet to experience excessive heat and have never used the factory heat shield. You need to get some air between your muffler and the bumper. My muffler was designed to tuck in as close to the engine and as far from the bumper as possible to optimise heat dissapation and ease of installation.
If you need a shield the factory one is best. It bolts to both the bumper and the valance to help protect them. If any part of your muffler touches the shield it will make matters worse.

Thumbs up

Wow that looks really good Brian.

Now you got me wondering if I should still wait for your GT3 style zork. I like the the look of the center exit with the zork but this is making me think twice. If it sounds like the zork but at a slightly lower decibel level as you indicated, this might be the ticket.
Hmm....

Would be great if you could get a decent sound byte but I do understand that you dont want a misrepresentation of its sound or volume.

In any event, these are great products you are putting out.

Maybe you should send one out for promotional purposes, for us to install & sample..... I reluctantly volunteer!

They are out there ....

The sound level of the recordings I have heard is not realistic. Being there is always louder.
Simply put, my mufflers are muted Zorks. They free up your HP and spool times in the same manner and have all the cool noises, only at less volume. The sound quality is the same.
The entire ID is 3" with the 180* bend being slightly more. You can roll a tennis ball through it.

I'm slammed with fab work right now and cannot get to the GT3 Zork. Next month?

Brian:

SWEET.

Now you need to get back on that dual turbo monster......that way you'll have to design a just as killer muffler system that I can purchase. Schwing

The Evil Engine is being used as a test mule for a new exhaust system that could very easily find its way into a twin turbo configuration.

Unfortunately you won't save much money by replacing the muffler with pipe, just the cost of the stainless muffler baffling. The welding stays the same and setup should be unremarkable. I'd have to do something with the support plate between the tailpipe and the muffler housing or vibration would be an issue.
By the time it's all said and done it would be a wash. If you show the car often the noise level of a straight pipe might be a problem. We can talk about it and you can then make an informed decision.
