make sure that when it's out there's no tension in it,, just for a sanity check,, then adjust from there. Are you sure you've got the throwout lever on the right spline? usually youv'e got a choice of two.

I had the same problem with my new clutch until I realized it went out of adjustment shortly after I first used it. Reseting the clearance on the adjusting bolt under the tranny fixed it right up.

its the pull style clutch . I took all the play out of the small paw . theres no index notch on the shaft, I can put it where ever I want. and adjusted the cable to spec .045 and then .040 .I'll recheck tonite.

The shop manuals state to be sure to re-adjust after break-in because it will fall out of spec on first use.

What do you mean by height? how far it goes to the floorboard or how far away it is from the floorboard?

If it has to much travel, there is a stop on the floor board that can be adjusted. Just be careful there isnt to much travel or you will pop the throwout bearing off the arm or worst (dont ask me how I know this, lets just say it caused me to drop the engine again)

If it is not close enough to the driver, what I did was use a block of wood to hold the pedal up while I adjusted the clutch.

Stock=rubber center. Those things can go at any moment. I upgraded to a spring center with lightweight aluminum pressure plate. better to be safe than sorry.

i did the same thing but its still slipping . i pulled up a post and some1 said dont use a aftermarket clutch cable because they are to short, thats what i have. it kinda makes sense because i dont have much adjustment at the front of the cable. i also might have close to 450 to 500 hp . stage 2 ******** tune. im just wondering if the clutch setup can handle this much hp?

I learnt along time ago not to bother with so called cheaper parts.

Porsche there is no substitute.

Post some pics.
