Fuel Pump Fuse Hot to Touch!
Was out driving to the In-laws, 930 dies, check fuses, Fuel Pump burned, replaced with non-used white(8amp?). Checked it out today, talked to a Mechanic, said Fuel pumps draw high amps, replace with higher amp fuse, stuck in a Blue. Still get hot. Is this a common occurance? Fuel pump going? Does not burn fuses, just gets hot. Ideas? Bad Ground too much resistance?

Try the Lee Rice electrical conversion. It takes the power from the battery instead of through the existing fuse panel and miles of wire. I used two spade type fuses since I couldn't get the Porsche fuse type holders.

Cleaned connections with a Dremel. Seems to be a little cooler, gets hot, just not as hot. Ordered new 3 fuse block, will be using the Tech article to fix. Think I have to read it over a few more times to be clear. Also liked the complete change over to ATO fuses that Fred Cook(?) did.

When & if you do, can you pass along the parts & sources? I would like to do this as well.
Thanks

The fuses/fusebox is a common problem. Always throw away fuses, clean the box terminals and tighten the tension holding the fuse in place. Check the screw too.
