Looking at the plugs might give you a clue as to which one may be faulty.

Sometimes you can measure the temp of the header pipe with a hand held pyro or even you hand and find the missing cyl.

A 930 with a bad injector will miss kinda badly and be down on power alot.

Thanks all that have responded thus far! I began pulling spark plugs and found #5 not tan and clean burning like the rest. It looks to be fouled, like it has been intermitently firing with a light fuel smell. I will replace the injector and clean the plug. Wires and plugs are fairly new. The hesitation off the line and cruising didn't start until after I stopped and got gas during a 400mi drive. I just replaced the filter so I hope this does it.

I had a few badly performing injectors on my previous 3.3 turbo (89 model).
I used to feel a hesitation or very slight misfire on light throttle holding at a steady speed or trying to accelerate very gradually,,replaced all 6 off them and hesitation went away!!

Well! I changed #5 injector, no change. Looks like I may end up replacing all of them. Is their a pick-up coil in the distributer that can be replaced? Its been a pain trying to solve this problem! Im not sure now if its spark related or not. Im open to suggestions. Thanks again!

There is a coil and it can be tested. I am not sure if you can buy the part separately though.

Speaking of bad/old injectors...

I have a 91 with 3x,xxx miles. Seems to be running well but I want to make sure the injectors are up to par.

Would you guys just replace them with new for about $300 or have them individually cleaned and tested?

Or buy a second set of used injectors, and have both sets cleaned and tested. Then pick the best matched set.

Easy answer:

Send them to witchhunter. He tests, cleans, sends you the flow and pattern report and you make the easy call upon return - http://www.witchhunter.com/

Local guy 5 miles from me, great service and a perfectionist,

The plug wires have been ohm tested and show to be good. Im going to pull the rest of the injectors since they are almost 29yrs old. (STUP), what you described is exactly the symptoms im having, at times it will clear up and then start hesitating again. Its as if the injector pintle is sticking. I dont have a service manual so can someone tell me what is the best way to get to the injectors and plugs on the left side? Again, thanks!

you will need to use 2 spanners for the job in there as they sometimes have to be cracked because they will be tight,,one spanner making sure the injector dosent move when your trying to slacken the nut,i had problems aswell with a set only a month ago on a mates 930..make sure you have good size fitting spanners and if i remember on his i had to cut one down in size!
