Can euro fuel head handle HFS?

I bought a ported fuel head from a fellow pelican awhile back, and I have just figured out its not getting fuel to the right bank.

I am pulling the dizzy as we speak and was wondering if anyone has run a K27 HFS on a stock euro fuel distributor? It would be easier to just put on my old stock euro dizzy for the time being while I get the ported head cleaned out/repaired, but I want to make sure the turbo can handle it first.

P.S. for those of you that have been following this engine start, i do finally have spark! it was that damn green wire.

Depending on what other mods you have it should be fine.

The only real way to know is to use a wideband AFR setup. I have the Innovate XD-16 kit.

I do have the innovate hand held unit, which I will be using to check AFR's after breaking in the engine. Right now I am just trying to figure out which option will get me on the road the soonest, without causing harm to the engine.

The adjustable WUR is typically done before the fuel head - indeed you may not need the fuel head as will be proven out by your forthcoming AFR test.

You sure and heck will need the adjustable WUR after the massive fuel dump the fuel head provides....at the wrong moments ie from the onset of boost until 4,200 or so. For me it was at 5,200!

The work that my CIS buddy did with setups included the HFS and fuel head mod.
What was found was that the K27S worked best with the Euro head and the HFS worked best with the modded head on that particular engine. The power level cutoff for the fuel head mod was 375whp (< 375 S, >375 HFS) and was independant of the choice of turbo.

I am going to throw the stock one back on for now just b/c I know it is functioning correctly. I wont risk going to redline, but I will just really need it to break in the engine. That should give me enough time to get the modded head tested, and get the adjustable WUR set up

Who originally did your 'ported fuel head'?

There are older mo(shimmed) fuel head mods out there that will not support the setups we speak of here -

I bought it from a guy that lives in my area. He had it done in FL and sold it to me when he went efi. I dont recall the company that did the mod, but now I am thinking I might just send it to iA and have a trustworthy pro look over it to see what was done, and if it was done correctly. I re-installed my stock euro this evening, and will see if I can get her cranked tomorrow.
