Advice

I have been driving a 1987 911 for about five years, and am considering moving to a 1994 Turbo 3.6 with 58,000 miles. I have yet to get to a PPI on the car in question, but before I spend this money and impose on the owner, I would appreciate some feedback. My 1987 is pretty much on the road at all times unless it is in the shop, getting about 10-12K miles per year, with about half of that interstate driving. My question is the Turbo a good daily driver, and should I expect a lot of extra maintenance on the high performance version under consideration? I am used to spending two or three grand per year in maintenance on my 911 Coupe, and just wondering if I could get some idea of what I might expect in an average experience with a 1994. Thanks to any and all that weigh in.

It's a 3.6 Turbo!! get it!!! you'll never look back and the extra jack to take care of it.. you'll not regret it one bit. It may not even cost you anymore as long as you do the basic stuff to maintan it.

If you have the means and a love for a Porsche- you would be an IDIOT not to. The 3.6 Turbo is the ultimate porsche bar none. Built in a time where the company was more interested in building a car, not a profit.

Track use agruably increases the maintenance on a Turbo -

Thanks, folks. I didn't know much about 911's other than I wanted one for a long time before I got the 1987, and I've learned a lot since then. Just anxious to get out of my reliable driver and into something I'm unfamiliar with after sorting the thing out so nicely. Lesson learned is that I shoulda gone for the 3.6 to begin with!
