back fire and no start after
Hi I am helping a Friend out with his 86 930. He was in 3rd gear and down shifted into 2nd and stepped on it there was a loud pop in the rear and the
car died. things I have checked so far are- the car has spark, oil pressure If I push down on the air flow plate I hear the back fuel pump go on but not the front I hear the front pump relays click. When we first try-ed to start it after it was sitting for a few weeks it started for a few seconds and died . than after cranking it I saw some fuel leaking out of the GHL header and stopped. I don't see any hoses off but that would have been my guess I have little CIS experience so any help would be great. thanks Palmer |

Hi Palmer,
Both fuel pumps need to work to run. So I think you found your problem. You can also do an fuel output test on the pumps. Dean

It may have taken out the Boost Pressure Switch, thats happened to me twice now on both my Turbocharged Porsches, damn. Bridge it out, does the car start now? If yes, buy a new presure switch.
