AFR and Advance curve feedback
Hello,
I am working to get my car ready for Tuning. It is an Electromotive Tec3r. Here are some screenshots of my current adv matrix and afr matrix. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. http://www.lesgarten.com/pix/porsche/ADV.jpg http://www.lesgarten.com/pix/porsche/AFR.jpg Thanx! Les |
Seems like a good base map. Though the mechanical initial advance looks a tad advanced and if it's twin-plugged, 28 max advance may be too much, maybe 25-26 max advance?

Hi Dave, I'm looking at a sheet from alldata and it shows 25-27 at 4000. I think I'll back down on that 28. Thanx! Les |
les, you've got a PM

Hello!
Full throttle-no boost (100kPa) fuel map is slightly lean. Being there is akin driving a N/A car full throttle. Fuel map below 30kPa should be zeroed. This is engine-braking teritory and there is no need to inject fuel there. It will just pop. Extra trick: Advance curve where turbo is supposed to go online can be retarded somewhat to gain response. You can do it later on as you don't know how turbo will react. But say that turbo goes from zero boost (100kPa) to 150kPa between 2400 and 2700 RPM, those cells can be retarded five degrees or so and you'll gain boost responce. |

I'm working on it some today, and I'll be adjusting the EFI a little. Les |
