Anyone recognize this stuff?

These are some really poor pics of a 930 I am looking at. The intercooler has the Andial sticker on it, but I think it looks more like a stock unit.

Do you guys recognize the wheels? They are 17", but I don't know the make.

The cars is a little tired, and the owner doesn't have much background on it, so I am going to research it piece-by-piece if needed.

Anyone know the car by chance?

Drew

Intercooler looks stock. Not sure about the wheels but I like them. Some kind of Speedlines maybe?

slow&rusty 01-06-2008 01:53 PM

That is a STOCK intercooler with a nice Andial sticker on it.

The engine looks sad and the car has been used for sure.

I am usually really good at making out wheels, but those have me thrown. They are not Speedlines.

Can you post better pics?

FWIW, I've been considering a Kremer/Jägermeister windshield banner for my 930...will this net me the same pedigree and/or HP gains as a 935?

Stick a Zork tube on it and it'll sound just as good, if not as powerful :D

LOL!! Been down that road already! Too many complaints from the neighbors and the human resource folks in my company that swear I'm "speeding" in my company parking garage!

WydRyd 01-06-2008 03:59 PM

HA HA! I've not heard boo from any of my neighbors.... YET! Then again, I get home before anyone's in bed, so I'm not really waking anyone up. Maybe the dead?!? :D

I do get nervous driving around in traffic though... you never know where there's a cop just aching to book someone

That engine does look wore out. Its odd how the body looks so much newer than the engine.... repaint???

Run your fingers down all the seems of the body. if it feels ruff then it was a not so good repaint.

What year is that car?

Doug Smith 01-07-2008 07:46 AM

It looks to me like a very nice car just waiting for a new owner to bring it back to it's glory.

sand_man 01-07-2008 07:50 AM

Odd that it has black front seats with an otherise tan interior? Upgraded sport seats out of another car, perhaps?

What about that wing on the back? Any clue? It looks like it has an embossed logo on the side of it. Anybody recognize it?

Yes. That's a common change/mod, when people begin modernizing the body. Looks like a 3.8 RSR wing:

Something else you should be researching is the slant/slope nose body work itself. Is it a conversion? Is it factory? Is it metal or fiberglass? Performed by what shop? It does look like the boxed rockers have the jack points....I wonder if it has the correct round headlights in the pop-ups? There are lots of clues to determine it's authenticity.

Does the owner know that he has a Ferrari in the garage too?

Actually, I think he just sold it to make room in the garage for the other Ferrari parked outside.
