Scale 1975 930 released

Nice looking red 930 in 1/18th scale. I just ordered and it was in stock. Anyone knowledgable about Norev,(manufacturer), and their quality?

Quick report on the scale 930 as it arrived today. Not Minichamps quality but close. Good paint as well as correct look to the overall scale. Biggest issue is wheel/tire combo which is off slightly. Very basic interior without gauge detail. Something to glance at in the office while the big one is tucked away for the Winter.

Yeah, I guess that's not a Minichamps, but you're collecting 1/18 scale.

I prefer 1:43, this Minichamps is really nice:

Yes, I did modify it. I didn't like the original rims that came with the model so I ended up swapping them with the rims from a '89 Speedster. And yes, I did lower the car slightly.

I primarily collect only 1/18 scale models. Currently, I have around 30 Porsches in my collection. Minichamp does have a few Porsches in 1/18 but unfortunatley they don't have as many as they have in 1/43.

Those are great pics. I did lower mine and painted the interior tan to match the big one but your wheel change out makes all the difference. What make did you get those from?
I'ts amazing how important this project has become since Winter has put such a grip on Colorado.

I used a 1/18 Maisto 911 Speedster as a doner for the rims. The Maisto Speedster is quite inexpensive. It took a bit of work to get the Maisto Fuchs to fit correctly also, they are much wider than the rims Norev used. Norev didn't make the wheel well deep enought either. It took some work but in the end I am happen with the results.

Heh, Modding scale 930's , stop the INSANITY!!

Do you have the old rims stacked in your "Little Shop"?

I'll Bet a 1/24 scale K27 HF2 or Garrett 35r would really make that bayby Haul!

I'm glueing a Rolls Royce engine from my 1/20th P51 Mustang Revell to the roof of the 930.

No it didn't come this way, it is heavily modified but I can't take credit for it. An individual on another board I belong to did this modification.
