Technical specs and differences of all 930 MYs...

I have a few books I'm going through, and a few that I'd like to purchase. 2 in particular have info from 1976 to 1982 (IIRC) and then 1983 to 1989. But they are 50 bones each.

Long story short, I'm working on Type930.com, a quick redesign, and expanding the "specs" page of the site. I'd like to break down each individual model year, with everything there is to know (ie, power, offset, weight, available options, numbers produced, etc., etc., etc).

Please respond to this thread if you have any information you think would help. If your information comes from a book, please reference the book so I can give the proper credit.

Also, if you have any links to the Porsche 930 being in the press (obviously looking for old 1980's vintage stuff) please contribute.

Regards,
Matt & "Doc"

Matt- you've probably been there..but in case you haven't, check out the Tech Info & Tech specs links found on this site. There's a pretty nice breakdown of the changes in specs for 911's and 930's through the years. Not sure how accurate it is- but it's a good starting point nonetheless. Good luck with your search- I've been to your site and appreciate what you're doing. -Jay

Matt,
Check out Peter Morgan's book, The Original Porsche 911. I think it has all the information your looking for.

Evolution Outline
Year to Year Production Data
Year to Year Production Changes
All serial numbers for engine, gearbox, chassis
Year to Year Color Schemes for interior and exterior and options

Very detailed information. I would type it all up but it would take me all afternoon.

Thanks to both of you! Will check out both.
