Need some feedback on a new gauge I am working on
Ok I have been working on this Porsche gauge for the last month and have the prototype done. here is the deal I hate aftermarket gauges and A pillar pod gauges .I have used aircraft gauges, gauges in the vents and gauges in the center console and they drive me crazy i can't stand the way they look so this is what I came up with it uses the factory computer control stalk on the steering column to control the functions and will display up to 2 wide-band sensors / Boost / air temps EGT's fuel pressure and fluid temp's it is ala cart you can pic whatever sensor modules you need ( I did not design the hardware just the format) the Screen is OLCD and screens can be customized. so give me some feedback on how it looks I will get more pic's in the AM

very slick....
930 guages are quite dull at night compared to 964/965 items so your panel would be a stark contrast to the rest of the instruments, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. very nice work, well done!

Yeah, great work. If you could integrate it with a 930 gauge many here might be interested. All I would need is AFR and boost.

If you could incorporate a graph (limited space?) that would show a range of RPMs rather than rapidly changing numbers which are nearly meningless other than to say "I have an AFR gauge"
Is this what this is? ![]()

Looks really nice but a bit small. I'd prefer to have this on the a-pillar.

I like it. the digital AFR gauge is the best.. what did it cost to do? and does it work with an lc1

Very nice product.
The best use I can see personally for that space is a Valentine 1 arrow indicator/alert. #2 would be head temp, oil temp, trans temp. #3 A/F ratios. You really don't need that unless tuning and then a bar graph is better visually. Digital display is really not optimal, analog is much better for monitoring temps etc. Will you need to modify existing tachs or sell stand alones?

Good idea Brian - head and trans temp would be quite nice in that location, very useful for us track sluts -

Cyl temp/ fuel pres/ AFR / oil temp / boost and Vac and EGT's are currently available modules and you can mix and match up to 32 of them you can also create you own custom gauge faces in photo shop and download them into the Gauge.
I am working on a gauge face for the 930'/911 gauges and also the 944 turbo. I should have them done before the end of next week these will have a different control ( a small remote to change function ) since they earlier cars do not have an on-board computer stalk on the steering column. I am working on a youtube video of how the whole gauge works tonight and some better picture's Thanks David |

How many mix/match can be displayed? 4?
Fuel presure would be important to me but maybe not others. If you can put the gage in the tach I can get the signal to it. Old school is not a problem. I would love the ability to toggle display many data inputs. Could a 930 have all the mechanical leads routed to an electronic converter box in the engine compartment that feeds your display terminal? Push button maybe?

One suggestion, an over view car illustration that shows what door is open would be very handy.
Just Kidding, holly **** that really is BAD ASS! Man I hope the price is right on this baby!
