Power wise, with my EVO the E85 put out more torque and HP than when running 110 octane. Able to run more boost and timing. Cheap race gas for sure.

In the next week or two, Chris Carroll will be dynotuning my freshly EFI'd 930 for 91 octane, 100 octane and E85. At the moment he and Mike at TurboKraft are finishing the installation of special fuel lines, et cetera, designed to withstand the corrosive nature of ethanol (and a number of modern fuel additives, as well). It took Chris and me quite a lot of research to become convinced enough to commit to E85, but we're both now expecting that, if done right, the stuff will have extremely high equivalent octane and won't screw up the engine. Like a lot of people, I hate the chickens--t politics behind ethanol (Senator Grassley of Iowa comes first to mind), but what the hell. In the final analysis, it looks like dirt cheap race gas to me. Anyway, we'll very soon be publishing all the dyno numbers--good, bad or indifferent. Promise.
