Need turbocharger recommendation

My goal is 300+HP. I'll be running 8.5:1 compression in a 3.2L Carrera and .5-.6 Bar. I'd like to have the capacity to be able to have the turbo I select to potentially take me close to 400hp in a few years. It'll be predominantly a street driver, so a turbo which spools up quickly is preferred. From what I've read on the board, it sounds like the Garret GT30 would be an ideal solution for what I'm looking for. One like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GARRETT-TURBO-GT3071R-TURBOCHARGER-TURBONETICS_W0QQitemZ190198300309QQcmdZViewItem?ha sh=item190198300309

These seem to be selling between $1000-1200 for a "like new" one. I'm ok shelling out that kind of $$, but if there is another turbo that would do what I need it to for less, I'd prefer to do so. Does anybody have a suggestion for one in the $600-ish range? Also, any recommendations on budget wastegates and BOV in the < $200 each range?

This GT3071R is selling a little cheaper, but it has been modified to a 4 bolt housing.

The seller says, "the new housing is a .64 a/r for faster spool up characteristics". Is this BS or what? What would you say is a decent price for it?

You can easily go shopping around and spend way too much money for a turbo and wastegate. You can spend $1250 for the turbo and $450 for a wastegate but when you button it all up and drive down the street you'll likely not see the difference over one I bought with integral wastegate that was installed on a 1993 Ford Powerstroke Diesel. It cost $50.00 used.
Go get a takeoff 930 turbocharger, W/G, intercooler, exhaust headpipe. Lots around and the component matching is already done. Sure you can spend more but benefits rarely go up in proportion to the extra money spent.
Several years down the road you can upgrade each as you understand their interactions and what you want to accomplish with your engine.

Yeah my thought too for the most part but I would shoot for the k27-7200

Thanks for the input, guys. How does this measure up against a 7200?

I dont know if there would be any sense in getting ANYTHING besides a K-27/7200 for your application. If you get a mildly used one you could pick it up pretty cheap (I think I sold my 4,000 mile K-27 for $500). And lucky you I am selling a used Tial 46mm gate for $200. Theres your turbo and waste gate.
Heres a k27 for you (little pricey)
