91 turbo motor ijn 1985 car ??
My question has any one installed a 91 turbo engine in a 85 turbo car, useing the wire harness and dist from the early car? I know they turn in different directions (oppisite)..is there a kit or dist modification?

Hmm, I may be mistaken...and if I am... I will be reprimanded...... BUT, A 91 is basically the same motor, FI system and everything else that an earlier car has... (turbo that is). I think you may be thinking of a N/A 91...which has the 3.6L, Then you would be correct about the dist....

This is worth a grain of salt, but I bought my '79 w/ a '91 turbo motor already installed. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the actual transplant. But it can be done!

Same engine, IC is little different (which shouldn't bungle up the install). So my guess it's plug & play.

my 91 motor is actually using the 79 IC, I guess that supports even more compatibility. (Ruf IC in a box waiting to be installed, among a dozen other upgrades)

Didn't the 91 C2 turbo's have power steering driven off the passenger side camshaft? If so, there are adapters out there that take care of that issue. The '91 3.3 turbo engines are identical to their predecessor's except for the fully finned cylinders. The IC is different as mentioned earlier. I agree they may have used a K-27 7200 or 7006 as a turbocharger.

I think you have to lob off the end of the cam in order to fit the little o-ringed cover back on and use the engine oil cooler (unless you just want to use the filter instead). The case is actually diffrent (a little bit) from the origonal 930 motor but nothing that effects install. Why couldnt you just use the stock C2turbo distributer with an msd box? That engine would not be hard to intsall in a 930, the only other thing I could think of is having to re-pin the wire harness main plug

91 c2 turbo install
Thanks guys , yes the 91 has computer controlled advance and the harness is different, does any one know where I could find swap info, harness info ect ? Thanks
