A Mod to Brians Fiberglass Valance

I was telling Brian (RarlyL8) about what I did to his (Blank) valance he sells. I bought a Zork from him and wanted to make a custom vented rear lower valance just for the Zork. I purchased his fiberglass wrap around Valance and cut vent holes in it symmetrically I added a relief for the zork for engine movement and epoxied a nice wire mesh in the cutouts. I finished it in Guards Red. All I need now is a gasket between the body and it.

what do you guys think...????

Bob

Also.. I know a guy who can reupholster Porsche seats. My sport seats were reupholstered in vinyl and leatherette with a lobster red piping. $400 So-Cal area.

Beautiful interior, Bob! And, that valance treatment looks really nice to me.

I just figured out why that biker was pissed at you. Your car was louder than his Hardly Ableson!

Doesn't the CHP look at you funny when you go by with that Zork yelling at them?

Ice,

In So-Cal there are so many noisy cars it really doesn't get allot of attention from the nominal decibel range. Its when you let off the gas at 6K on boost and it pops and shoots fire out of the zork. Gets allot of attention and amazement. The young tuner guys get a woody. Like the other guys were saying gets a lot of thumbs up and I meet allot of good people at lights and parking lots. Most are my age in there 40's I think...Then a few badlies like today..I haven't written so much on Pelican in a while...Guess I just wanted some brotherhood feed back..

Hey Dawg,

I'm home sick, tonight...So not much to do.

My twin outlet can be pretty noisy. My wife and kids tell me I have flames coming out the back, but I haven't ever personally seen it.

And...Be careful! I'm 55 and bald. I more or less shave it all off except a bushy moustache beneath my big nose. But at least my ears aren't as big as LBJ!

The more I think about it, LBJ did have big ears. Never really thought about his ears much. I just shaved off my stache that I had for 25 years. Grew it to look older so I could get in clubs and shaved it to look younger. I will get the calipers out and check and see if gravity has affected my ears yet...

I hope you feel better than that Bonehead I almost murdered today..

You would be surprised how protective I am with my family and 930. Burn my house down, punch me in the nose..But better not touch kids, wife or Porsche...

Bob

Ice,

Thats way to cool, I like bikes but are afraid of people like me on the road. I would suggest just being cool to 930 dudes because they can turn. You kinow we are lost in the eighties. Choppers...930's a few beers, wine, wife and song. I'm happy...just having a few good friends...I like your bike..

Man that valance looks like Porsche lingerie!

What headers and turbo are you running? The zork is off-center. I have had that issue with some headers and aftermarket turbos.

I find it interesting that the noise of your car may have offended a Harley rider. I may start using the zork more often, ha!

Come to think of it Dawg, instead of needing the gasket above the valance, maybe all you need are garter snaps!!!

Hey I'm not easily offended...Just talk sh_t about my Porsche car and watch me go ballistic..I have a history of this...Have you guys forgotten what happened to the last guy who started some crap with me..

My wife said she saw a Harley guy buy an enema today at Longs Drugs off the 15 freeway..

Had no idea why? She said he seemed alittle freaked out..Like he was hearing footsteps. Quarterbacks like Joe Namath mumbled to themselves about being blind sighted. I bet 930s look like Dick Butkus to him.

Bob,

At least I was old enough to watch Joe Willy Namath beat the Colts. Were you even born, yet?

Barely, I bet the Phuquer on the bike was, and you will notice him as he spends excessive amounts of time rubber necking the cars around him...

I'm just pokin' fun. I like what you did with the valance, that was a lot of work.

Brian,

What do you think of making a gasket full length gasket for your blank Valance and also could work for the muffler guys and trimmed at an indicated area stamped in the rubber. One size fits all type thing. I'll buy one!

I'll look into it. If I can find the right shape I'll just cut it to fit the custom valances as they are ordered.

That little skirt is kinda pretty! Brian sells that? I might have to go Zork just to do that!

Still waiting for the fat chick, though!
