greetings

hello all,

name is joe, people call me sloppy.

i was forced to come here by my buddy chris (hayabusa)

by nature i am a italian fanatic. own a couple ducati's and a ferrari.

but i have been growning my interests in adding a older P-car to my garage. i have always been a fan of the 911 series of cars and after gettting to ride in the 930 carrera turbo that my buddy owns it would be fun to own a car that is either a SC convert into a turbo car or a HOT N/A car for some light track use and a weekend toy. i love my ferrari and it has been bulletproof for me, but i miss having a turbo car ( used to tweek with RX-7's).

i am still trying to sponge up all the info i can regarding these german cars, so i look forward to learning all i can.

thanks,

joe

Welcome aboard!

If you want a turbo car, I'd recommend buying a 930 not a converted 911. It's usually a lot easier that way and you're not having to make compromises. A N/A car may be a little more fun on the track since you can concentrate on braking and turning rather than just blasting down the straights.

RX-7's are great cars. a very good friend of mine's father designed the apex seals, and exhaust for the RX8 that won the 24hr Rolex. I took him out in my 930 right after, and all he said was "wow, how the hell did Porsche not beat us!"

The 930 is a bread of its own. there is nothing like the aircooled feel and smell. Dont bother with a converted car, it will make your life so much easier if you go strait for a 930.
