Trip

I am driving the 930 from Charleston SC to Miamisburg OH, leaving this Sunday. I'll be taking I-26 up to Asheville NC, then I-40 to Knoxville, and I-75 up to Miamisburg. Anyone live near this route, or know of any good shops along the way in the event of a problem? Been lucky so far, so now I'd like to be prepared!

Don't have any help on the shops, but that should be a fun drive! I've driven that stretch of 26, and the I-40 near the Great Smokies. Beautiful scenery and roads

Stuttgart Motorwerks is an independant Porsche repair shop 15 mins south of Asheville off I-26 in Hendersonville, NC. 828-694-3510. Owner's name is Pete- I've heard he's an honest, nice guy. Good luck!

Then bring your radar detector. NC police dont joke around on the blue ridge. I had lights flashed at me for going 5 over. Dont even want to know what they would do for 10 over

Did you finally complete the air filter mod and breathers collecting manifold?

What about the bubbles in the oil?

April is even better to go through the Dragon.

Yea, I finished the air filter conversion, works very good. I never foud a source for the bubbles, drained the oil, no bubbles from the tank, sump, or turbo tank. My guess is that it is just in the top portion of the tank. I put the stock air breather assy back on Sat, as I thought it provides better moisture coverage and I was really not sure of the weather I would be hitting on my trip up and back. I'll leave it on for a while and monitor the bubbles, but I am pretty sure that is not the source. I'm just not going to worry about it.
