930 fuel pump wiring

Does anyone have a wiring diagram on wiring the pumps to not run when the key is on the on postion. I would like to listen to the radio without the pumps running. The previous owner had the pumps wired with two realys that casused the pumps to run while the key was on the on postion.

Hook them up to a set of relays with a switch? That would work unless you dont like extra switches

Hello,
I would wire my Radio to run without the key. That's how almost all European cars were wired. That's how my Merc and Porsche are wired. I just hit the button on the Radio.

Just curious, are you sure they were "re-wired"? The reason I ask is that even stock, the fuel pumps were wired with two relays (not counting the other relays/switches in the engine compartment that are in the loop). Can you reach into the engine compartment, around the airbox (reach around from the driver's side) and verify if there is a wire connected here:

When this wire is disconnected, the fuel pumps run when the key is switched over (engine not running).

Just a thought, maybe there's hope that this can be simple...

Surely to get the radio to work you only need the key in the 'Accessory' position, not the 'Ignition / Running' position.

Maybe you need to run a new wire to your radio. It should already have one there, try to find it.
