You California guys should consider water injection. I run it on my turbo SC, and it works great.

The adverse actions of EtOH on the CIS are compounded if your car is not a daily driver.
As stated above, EtOH likes water and is prone to accelerate rusting and gumming which is better tolerated in EFI systems than the precisely machined spaces of a CIS fuel head. It is also more corrosive than toluene based fuels.
I drive my car sporadicly. It may get driven every day for a week and then sit for 2 weeks. Sitting gives the water/EtOH a chance to surface react.

I have a station near my home which sells 100 and 110 octane fuel, is it advisable to dilute the high octane fuel with the 91 octane, to achieve a 93 octane consistency? Or is that taboo?

That's the way we did it in the old days of Amoco Premium. You also used to be able to mix a little leaded gas in with the unleaded to raise the octane of the unleaded.

Les,
Thank you for the reassurance! I would hate to do something foolish!
