New Owner Here!

Hello everyone, I am a recent 930 owner and just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.

Here is my 84 Euro 930.

It needs tons of work but I haven't had anything of my own in a long time to work on. Usually I am fixing something for someone else. So it definitely feels good to say the least.

My plans are to completely go through the engine, front and rear suspension, brakes, a/c and electrical.

Thanks for the great forum!!

You've got great taste in mods.
Low sleak and mean. Doesn't look like the oustide needs anything. Welcome!

I second Rarlyl8's comments- nice looking car and welcome aboard! You've got some nice exterior mods already done- so when the mechanicals have been brought back up to snuff you'll have a "10"!

Thanks everyone, I am in South Florida.

The wheels are 17"x 11" in the rear with 315/35/17's and the fronts are 16"x8 or 9" with 245/45/16. Not exactly sure on the exact width though as I haven't personally measured them yet.

The front are rear wheels actually don't match. The rears are e501's and the fronts are a newer model. I haven't decided if I want to match them up or if I like the way they are. This picture shows them a little better....

Adam.

Welcome Adam and congrats!

Wow what a beaut you got there! I too love the color, some reason I'm partial to burgundy on German cars, looks so... German.

Esp. dig that front clip - is that just a 964 bit? So gots to do that here - soooooomeday.

Awesome old school BBS's, tho I do prefer the fronts personally. Matching them, well, that's a matter of personal taste. Looks OK as is, it'd end up urking me tho I know. Can always sell the rears 8-).

Regardless - waycool! Enjoy the doors out of it. Looking forward to seeing more of it. Good luck on your go-through endeavors.

Looks good.

You might want to update the front smile to a 964t one too though to match the bumper. Maybe you prefer how it looks now.

Welcome.

Great looking car. IMO I would reverse the order of your plan, as follows: electrical, brakes, suspension and then motor.

Keep in mind to get to know the beast before playing with it...

Good Idea NathanUK, I think I will look into that when I remove the front bumper cover for some touch up work. I like the cleaner look of the 964t smile.

I haven't really formulated my exact plan of attack yet. However, I did re-spray the wiper arms already.

Actually, my first priority is to clean everything as much as possible. I tend to be extremely picky about things being clean, organized and safe. I've found that the cleaner and more organized I am, the better my mood and the end result.
