I know this is an old thread but this is why this forum is so great did a search and bam here is the info I need a ignition curve that I can plug into the MSD unit. And by the way great pics towarrd the end.

Excellent and thought provoking discussion. 356-930, you do an excellent job of describing what can often be confusing. Even I now understand it all, which is saying a lot.

So, when on boost there will be no vacuum so the ignition is retarded. This is why the 930 is very docile while waiting for boost to build.
Try putting pressure on your capsules/pods while you have a timing light rigged up and let us know if you do get any retard Doug.
Nathan, I seem to remember there being two "air" lines going to my '87 dizzy. One for vacuum, one for boost pressure....or so I assumed until now. I thought the one was to retard timing under boost and the other to advance in non-boost. Hmmm....care to elaborate?
