sounds like it is very close to a dedicated track car, keep it, you won't recover your $60k and it will cost more to replace down the road.

I know I won't recover my costs or even come close, but that's the nature of the beast with thses cars. It's a hobby I need to give up for awhile.

I would think thats doable. However, I will bet that you could make out better selling off the spares. I would love a set of the BBS Motorsport wheels myself.

How's the paint? Any interior shots?
What is the gadget attached to the oil line/breather? ...the line that come off the oil fill. |

I can post some interior shots in a day or so. Right now I've got my Butlerbuilt seat in the car. The paint is good except the front end. It has some wear from the track. Small pitting, etc.
The gizmo in the back is an oil breather. When I took the stock air filter off, I wanted it to go somewhere, so I installed that rather than just a small filter. I had heard that get oil soaked after a while and dip oil? |

Man that's ALOT of car for $35K!! I'm surprised you were able to do all that for $60K. Did you mean $60K invested plus the price of the car?? Good luck buddy, you should do fine. I'll spread the word down here...

You talk this over with Brian Keith Smith, yet? Oh the humanity! What will he do without his wingman at VIR?

That looks like a lot of car and extras for the money! If I was in the market I'd jump at it.

In reality, it's north of $60k, I just stopped counting. Since I do all my own work, I saved on the labor portion of everything done. The car was $32K seven years ago, the engine was about $15K and the rest is parts, etc. Thinking about now, it's way north of $60K. I wish it was a money making proposition, but you go into it knowing your going to lose money. It's the fun factor doing it and driving it.
