Noisey Front Fuel Pump

Front pump appears to be making more inconsistent buzzing sound. Anyone hear their's making different sounds and still continue to operate, or is this indicative of failure in the near future?

A loud fuel pump is a sign of impending failure. You could check system pressure, fuel flow, and see how many amps the pump is drawing. The amp reading may be the best indicator of pump condition.

What should the amp draw be? Are both pumps the same amp draw?

I'm not sure what the 930 pumps draw, but the SC is 4 to 6 amps. I imagine the 930 pumps would be about the same.

Anywhere from 5.5 to 15.5 Amps is in spec for a Bosch fuel pump, depending on the specific unit. I only have spec sheets for motorsport pumps, never found 'em for the factory pumps.

I replaced my probably-original pump because I thought it was very loud. The new 044 sounded exactly the same, but at least its higher spec than the factory pump.

If the noise yours makes varies that could be a sign of trouble. See what you have.

First thing to do is to check the pump relays - clean and reinstall.
