Will these wheels fit a 930?

Would the following wheel and offset fit on the 930? Thanks

18x9 ET18
18x8 ET31

Yup, those offsets should fit just fine on a pre-ABS car (Ruf used 30.4 and 17.7 for the same fitment on 17" wheels).

Only thing is that 9's & 10's would be better for a 930 - I have 8's & 9's on my SC-bodied car.

I have 18x9's on my front and find the steering is just a bit too heavy.

I think 8's are good up front, and for the rear, go as wide as you can without rubbing, 11" - 12".

I have 9x17 and 10x17. For me, steering is OK, maybe a bit heavier when parking. I also think (just my thoughts, no experience) that too wide in the back together with narrow front will end up in grip loss first in the front, what I really dislike.

Thanks for the feedback. Would this size be a better fit on the 911SC or non-turbo?

Exactly, 8 & 9 is ideal SC/3.2 fitment. You can't fit an 9J under the front of a narrow-body car, 8J is the widest. You can't fit a 10J ET5 under the rear of an SC/3.2 flared car, 9J is the widest. I checked this fact personally a few weeks ago. It's not even close to being OK without custom sizes, offsets and/or bodywork (extended flares).

8's & 9's bolt straight into flared (but non-widebody) cars and allow the use of quality tires in the cheap, easy-to-find & popular sizes like 225/45 (does require the front fender to be rolled) & 255/40.

(You can probably squeeze in slightly wider tires - especially at the rear, but these are taller/heavier/harder to find/not available in all brands/more expensive. And may also require spring plate bolt heads to be shaved, oil lines relocated, fenders rolled and possibly more aggressive alignment. Diminishing returns... IIRC, 225/255 is wider than Ruf used on the Yellowbird CTR anyway, with 8J/10J and ~470HP - think they spec'd 205/245 back in the day).
