Indicator Trouble

I seem to have developed a tricky problem with the turn signals on my 85 930.

The green lights on the tacho work fine when turning the stalk left or right but the hazard light switch (the switch flashes red) doesn't light up the green lights.

Also I have noticed that when pressing the brake both green lights flash once quickly (everytime the brake is pressed or some other switches activated).

I decided to remove the aftermarket central locking (which wasn't working properly anyway) but it still does it. I have checked the fuses and stalk wires but can't see any shorts or problems.

I am thinking of taking out the gauges to clean them anyway so I will inspect the wires at the back of them when I do.

Any ideas where this problem might be occuring? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,probably a ground problem, but cleaning the gauges contact is a good idea and easy to do.Good luck.
