Low Power Issue...

Hello....Need some help....

I bought this 75S with full 1977 930 Transplant..

It runs well, feels okay when going full boost...

But i decided to have a dyno run last weekend..

Just before that valve adjustment was done and i noticed the rotor at the distributor is the one with the cut off option...(speed limit)...

As the test raned, very low hp resulted just 236 HP (I was expecting at least 260)..

Should i replace the rotor? or should I look for a worst scenario??..

Here it is the dyno run...

Any thoughts?

Look at how low the RPM are cutoff..today we changed timing, and a improvement was noticeable, 5,500 rpm now.....

US 3.0 turbos only had 240hp stock, and the euro versions came with 260. your numbers don't seem far off. I don't know about the dyno though. nothing more boost, timing, fuel and money cant fix. lol

I just did a timming adjustment...it feels okay..

Also set up the Crane Cams Ignition to cut at 6,000 rpm..

Funny is that as the car is steady the set up works perfect...

But running the cut off limit goes down....i guess now it cuts around 5,500

I guess the cut off rotor is not working well...

Should i remove?

1,000 rpm added to the engine with the timming adjustment...

I guess now i might be somehwere around 250hp..

Should i buy a rotor without the cut off option?...or just remove the switch from the rotor??

Engine is a 930/53 with 54k miles mostly stock
Euro heat exchangers
930 Stock Intercooler installed

Any help appreciated...

MiCk..

Your dyno graph looks like stock.
Don't know about the aftermarket ignition cutoff. You could just pop in another rotor and see if the problem persists. Good idea to have over-rev protection if you are running a 915. Mine pops the limit in 1st and 2nd before I can react (tire spin).
