Thanks for the thought Kris - I wish I were in position. As Mr. Boeing 717 aptly noted, I'm also over a decade out of college and considered a cough professional cough, but with 3 kids k-garten and under I'm happy to even own this car let alone mod it 8-). I splurge'd for an exhaust b/c the car just "needs" it. The rest can wait... sigh.

I def. was noting tho those parts' purtyness since I oogled them firsthand - figured that might entice someones here to scoop them up 8-). Your engine looked *stunning*, very tastefully done.

Good luck, chin up!

Dude... Are you really gonna part it out??!! I'll friggin give you a good set of valves, Ollie's will rework the heads for approx $700. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a usuable set of P/C's for a decent price laying around. Maybe some bearings and gaskets will pop up. I bet someone has mechanical tens laying around... Some time and patience and you may get back for 2G's or so... Give it some thouht
you may have needed more rod bearing clearance anyway, how much did you run w/ those rods. I run .003/.012 journal/side w/ carrilos

If you're not strapped for the cash, I would just let it sit for a few months.

Anytime.

While I agree with most here that it's prob. best to take a deep breath and ten steps back from the situation for a few months, none of us know your "situation" so you'll do as necessary.

Should the vultures merrit circling, here's the aforementioned purtyness:

Circle the wagons brutha - seems many here just may have parts on hand to get you going. Again good luck.

That is a beautiful engine, I understand you feeling distraught.
What exactly are your limitations to fixing the engine? Time? Cost? Down time? Constant hassle has taken it's toll? All of the above?
Have you gathered an estimate for repairs?

Brian- it is all of the above. But mostly it is financial means- I am not making enough money to keep this going.
NOW- I could be interested in working a trade with someone for a 3.6 N/A motor. My reason for this is that the 3.6 has most of the things that I want for big power are already on the 3.6 heads (twin plug, gaskets, big ports, intake manifold, etc..). So if anyone out there is interested let me know. If I could swing a 3.6 in there I could beat the holy $hit out of it and not have half the problems, but there will be half the horse power.

Update- I am now buying a 400 horsepower Eagle Talon for my summer toy. I know what everyone is thinking- but I am buying this car for less than I could buy a set of good cylinders for.
