Question Help- Torsion bars needed

I've been trying to find a vendor who has 22mm front and 29mm rear Sanders torsion bars and all of my attempts have been foiled by backorders. Called Smart racing and they aren't expecting them for atleast 3 months. I guess my timing is bad- racing season seems to have caught up with production. Has anyone ordered any recently and had good luck? Any ideas for other distributors I can try? I've tried Smart and Elephant (although I'm not sure Elephant has that brand- whatever they carry is backordered too). The way things are going it'll be snowing here by the time I get some. Our sponsor carries the Weltmeister hollow torsions, which are made by Sway-A-Way and cost more but besides the cheesy name I have not heard anything about them. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ben- do you have to weld in reinforcements to the shock towers when you go with coilovers- or are they just straight bolt-ins?

Call Glen Sanders at Sanders Engineering, they make the bars for the other companies. Glen sanders is anice guy, explain your situation and he will tell you who he is making bars for and when they are going out. Call the retailer and tell him you want to reserve one of the sets. I did it this way when the hollow 24/33s I needed were sold out. I probably saved myself some time with Sanders Engineering and had the bars paid for and the retailer ready to ship as soon as they got them.

Hope it works for you, let us know how you make out. Here is his page for hollow bars, the solids are on the previous page http://www.sanderengineering.com/cat13.htm Who knows maybe you can talk him into selling you a set direct. When I called, the bars were all spoken for.

hmmm...my darn editor made my prior post a double post not just the corrections????

No need to reinforce if you are using them in conjunction with stock t-bars. that how my car is set up. Although I know imagine auto uses them with no weld in supports and use no t-bars so I have been told.

So yes a bolt in 20 minute project and you can corner balance much easier
