Chris

I was checking out the Snow website and wondered what unit I would use. I have no plans for EFI or such.

Which model are you using?

I run a 3.3 liter 930, 1-bar boost, no intercooler, (no room) on a street rod. Boost air is cooled using a Snow Performance Stage 2 Boost Cooler - water/methanol injection system. With plumbing and check valve, $500. Engine uses approximately 2-quarts of water/meth for every 10-gallons of 91-octane gasoline. Boost pressure start point for injection and rate of injection are user adjustable. If you intend on tracking the car, build in a huge water/meth reservoir.

J & S Electronics, Garden Grove, CA, builds/sells a knock sensor/controller that reportedly works on the 911/930. I have no experience with the unit.

Interesting.
Meth/Water injection can produce huge sums of tourqe and prevent against knock.
But I think I wrote this earlier.

Ensure that when you use meth that you dont engauge it
too soon, or rather more specifically too low in boost/psi. Typically under 10.
In addition you should consider that it is important to have things placed correctly.
Also note that meth in any amount thin's your oil out and render oil servicing more requently.

I have heard good things about the Aquamist system, there all really the same concept just
different brand items or pumps and solinoids etc.

P.S. For a vehicle running 1BAR/14.5 psi you wont need to run such a huge intercooler, and as well liquid intercoolers.
often over sized intercoolers on a application not in need of one have piss poor throttle response and gain huge sums of lag and other issues.

What did you do for the oil filter consol? I see you got a system one oil filter- I am going to develop a consol for my 930 and am looking for Ideas for filter consoles
Not sure what you mean by oil filter consol so I'm going to presume you mean the mount. It' a remote mount receiver mfg. by System 1 for the oil filter. It's mounted to the engine/transaxle subframe. Wish I had a better photo but. . . .

I used the Stage 2 Boost Controller.
I see Snow now offers a "Safeinjection" system for use with its water/meth injection systems. Appears to be a flow sensor that triggers either timing retard or boost reduction in event of a loss of water/meth delivery. A good idea if one has tuned for max power by benefit of water/meth injection.

The filter and the (red anodized) mount, which includes the oil in/out fittings are both manufactured by System One.
