RUF Speedlines

Hey guys, I'm new to the board but I've been on here reading a while trying to soak up as much info as I can before I buy my first 911. I had a few questions regarding the RUF Speedline rims for the 930.

Did these rims all come in the same size or did the original buyers have options? Also typically, how much should one expect to pay for a set of four without tires? Were these rims only available on RuF 930's?

I don't see many of them around for sale so I suspect that they are rare but I really don't know . Some info on the production history of these wheels would be nice. Can never learn too much.

I don't own a Porsche yet but I already know that I want these for my car. I saw them on an Arena Red 911 and damn near fell over.

Thanks!

Are all those wheels in those sizes only or are they customizable? Doesn't really say on the website whether they are or not. I like the 930 model with a large lip. The one that I saw had a deep dish look (not too deep) and I want to make sure that if i buy from someone online that it has the same measurements because sometimes it's hard to tell from pictures.

I am in the process of switching out wheels now. Just a word of caution on 17" your choice of tire sizes is diminishing.

I just swapped my 18" work alloys for a set of Ruf Speedlines. I was told that the new Ruf classics that are offered by Ruf are no longer made by Speedline. I think they look perfect on the 930, makes them look very "period correct". +1 on the narrow choice of tyre though

Tire choice's..yep that's why I went with front/rear size stagger. 17" front's 18" rear's. It is only the wide 17" rears that are getting more limited to find in a quality tire.
Speedlines and their clones look really good on the 930, but they are heavy.
My .02 cents worth.

I have Ruf 9 & 10x17 on my 930 and I really like them. I use PS 2 tires with 235 front & 255 back. They ride and control really well. I just wonder if I should buy another set of tires and store them incase scarcity in the future. Does tire stored well over a long period of time? I know that rubber can dried out over time.

Sorry to revive this soemwhat old thread but for people that have bought speedlines, how much did you pay?

I might be able to get a set for 1900 without tires and i'm wondering if this is a good deal or not.

If the rims are in excellent shape, it is a good deal. Make sure you have 10" for the back.
