Rocket: That was one heck of a steal....the set of manuals I bought from you. They were still (and still are) in the original box and plastic bag that shipped to the Porshe dealership....when I reference them, I'm careful not to crimp the pages or get grease on them.....that was one heck of a find....and I thank you for them. I much prefer the hard copy to a CD for ease of reference. I used them the other day to trace the wiring to the footwell blowers....but was surprised to find that the diagram didn't show the blade fuses in there, so Porsche must have added those sort of on-the-fly when a problem arose...which i'm finding they apparently did with a number of items in the factory slantnose.

I also use the Bentley manual to supplement the 930 information since a lot of the body parts are the same....and found a brand new Bentley and 101 Projects on eBay for half of what they usually cost. I see a number of Porsche service manual buys on eBay periodically, and would encourage you to put in an eBay search routine for them so they pop up on your computer when one comes up for sale.

Turbo Manuels

I bought the manuels on e-bay, when I received them it turned out to be a copy, very good copy, but at the time I needed wireing diagrams, that was the only part not included, those were covered in the 911 manuels, I didn't know that at the time. Volume 1 starts at chapter 42 , certain pages on chapters,42,44,46,47,48, 50, 53, 55,66, 68,80, and 90 Volume 2 has pages for chapters 10,13,15,20,21,25,26,28,30,34,35,39,40,and 42. You will need 911 manuels to be complete , which our host I think has in stock. You don't want to know what I paid for this. If you are interested let me know and will send you pictures, like I said this is a very good copy, printing on both sides of the pages

I forget who i got my manuals from originally, somebody out of an advert in Excellance. When you called and said you had a '85 930, you had to buy like 8 manuals or something like that. A TON of Cash. Porsche's aproach to manuals is that if your seats were covered in the 1975 manual, and they haven't changed anything, you had to buy the 1975 Manual that covered that portion.

I have Alldata now and have never looked at the manuals much anymore. the Electrical diagrams are something even Alldata cannot do well though. You really need to be able to fold those pages out and trace by finger.

I ended up go to a friend of mines shop and making copies of the electrical diagrams then taping them together when I got home. You are right, you need to trace the wire with your finger, otherwise it could drive you crazy, but the copies taped together worked, and still use them, but would like to have the nice foldout ones

Turbo manuals

My factory Carrera 84-89 manuals contain at least the schematics for the turbos. I don't care for the manuals per se, but the schematics are the invaluable.
